CAPE CORAL, FL, August 28, 2007 Employees of Whitney Information Network, Inc. collected 285 pounds of school supplies to be distributed to Cape Coral, Florida youth through the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce.
"As an education company, we are committed to supporting students at all levels," said Russ Whitney, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Whitney Information Network, Inc. "As a company and as individuals, we are also committed to supporting our community, and this school supply drive allowed our team members to fulfill both missions."
For five weeks, Whitney employees personally purchased and contributed supplies, including pens, pencils, scissors, crayons, highlighters, paper, binders, notebooks, and more. After the collection period ended on August 10, 285 pounds of supplies were delivered to the Cape Coral Chamber of Commerce for distribution to area schools.
"This project was organized and implemented by our team members, and I am tremendously proud of their initiative and compassion," said Whitney. It is an honor to work with each of them.
