CAPE CORAL, FL, November 27, 2006 – Employees of Whitney Information Network, Inc. (WIN) in Cape Coral contributed a total of 2,660 pounds of food to the Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida (www.harrychapinfoodbank.org) in Fort Myers, Florida. The Company’s food drive ran for three weeks, with five teams representing different departments competing for the opportunity to collect the most food.
The contribution was enough to provide 2,128 meals for the hungry. On Wednesday, November 22, WIN employees loaded a full-sized pickup truck and a large SUV to deliver the non-perishable food items.
"The results of this drive are typical of the spirit of our Company," said Brenda Kalscheuer, Director, Human Resources. "When our team members were challenged to help those less fortunate, they responded with enthusiasm and generosity. And it certainly made the Thanksgiving holiday more meaningful to all of us."
